Very thorough book for a beginner Much of it dealing with basic menus, terminology etc. Well written and great for what it is For someone familiar with CAD or design software I’d suggest using the online help that comes with Revit, a bit more of a pain, but ends up being quicker in the long run.

I wanted to learn how to use Autodesk Revit, so I signed up for an online college course. It turns out, the professor didn’t really intend to teach; she just told us to do the exercises in this book. Guess what? This book plus having access to Revit really is enough to introduce you to Revit and then give you a good comprehensive foundation of the basics of using that program. There is still more I could learn, and I will take another course with a different professor, but I am completely satisfied with this excellent textbook.

Great and easy to follow book. Provide some great basics to get started with Revit. Textbook has a lot of information and really goes in detail on how to build a two story house with a basement, stairs and driveway.
